How much would the 12 days of Christmas cost you? One study estimated a total of $34,131. Highlights include: $215 for a partridge and the pear tree, $360 for six geese-a-laying, $13,125 for seven swans-a-swimming, and $7,553 for nine ladies dancing, per performance! 3

The average American plans to spend $752 on Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Pancha Ganapati, or other holiday gifts in 2016. Plus, Americans spend $3.2 billion a year on wrapping paper alone! 4

        

#5Even Santa Shops Online

E-Commerce is booming for the holiday season. In 2015, e-commerce sales reached $56 billion, nearly 10% of total holiday season sales. 5
